On Track to Becoming the 30th State with Constitutional Carry - SB50 - March 20th 2025

On March 20th, 2025, the North Carolina Senate passed Senate Bill 50, a constitutional carry bill, with a 26-18 vote. Unsurprisingly the vote was split along party lines, with Republicans voting for it and Democrats voting against. SB 50 is sponsored by Senators Danny Britt, Warren Daniel, and Eddie Settle. The bill now moves to the North Carolina House for consideration. If enacted, North Carolina would become the 30th state to adopt constitutional carry laws, joining states like Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee.

Our Take: It's always great to see states protecting their citizens Second Amendment rights. As citizens we have the right to protect ourselves, so we should not have to go through another step, getting our Conceal Carry Permit, to be able to carry. We hope that one day all 50 states will adopt Constitutional Carry, though we realizes that may be pretty far fetched. - Zac
